2010 World Cup Qualifiers are over for now and Premier League and Serie A continue on this weekend. Fox Soccer Channel is showing matches with the top three EPL teams this weekend.

Chelsea is traveling to Newcastle where the battle of survival in EPL got a new twist, when Alan Shearer was named United’s new coach. Liverpool is visiting Fulham and it maybe a tough match for them since most of their players have international duty. Same goes for Manchester, but Aston Villa is on the down slide lately and three points shouldn’t be problem.

Serie A leader Inter Milan, like many other Italian teams,  lost a player to injury sustained during the World Cup Qualifying matches. Inter will have to do without Maicon in Udinese who lost their captain Di Natale for  the rest of the season. AC Milan meets the relegation zone team Lecce, while Juventus is hosting Verona at home.

The MLS match will present their latest sensation the expansion team Seattle Sounders. They are leading the Western Conference with a full six points from two matches.

FC Gold Pride(Bay Area) is hosting the Boston Breakers on Sunday in the new Women’s Professional Soccer league. The WPS debuted last week when the Los Angeles Sol beat the Washington Freedom 2-0 in front of 15,000 fans.
