Champions League Round up: November 4

Lyon 1 – 1 Liverpool

This draw means Liverpool is on its last leg in the Champions League and only a miracle will save them.

Having only four point out of three matches Liverpool started with attacks, mindful of team’s need for win.

The hope came in the 83rd minute when substitute Ryan Babel scored a goal making it 1-0. But it wasn’t meant to be for the Reds after Lisandro Lopez scored a last-minute equalizer.

With this win Lyon qualified into knock-out stage for the seventh season. Liverpool will have to depend on other team’s result for their fate CL.

Dynamo Kiev 1 – 2 Inter Milan

Dynamo took the early on after Andriy Shevchenko put Dynamo Kiev in the lead in the 21st minute of the match.

Inter seemed to be outplayed and struggled to create chances. In the second we saw a improved Inter after Jose Mourinho made a couple of substitutions.

With four minutes remaining Inter managed to score twice.

First Argentine Diego Milito put one in after tricking the goalie who went the wrong way after the ball. That was the equalizer, then in the 89th minute Wesley Sneijder scored the winner propelling his team to first place in the Group F.

Definitely a hearth-break for the Ukrainian team.

Sevilla 1 – 1 Stuttgart

Another match was decided in the closing minutes after Stuttgart tied the match in the 78th minute.

Sevilla scored early on and clearly was playing for keeps.

But what ever opportunities the German team had, no goal came out of it. Finally in the 78th minute Zdravko Kuzmanovic equalized on a pass from Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Despite only a tie, Sevilla joined a bunch of other teams who already advanced to the final 16.
