Houston advanced to Western Conference Championship were they will meet LA Galaxy.
Thanks to a tight defense on both sides the match ended scoreless in regular time and went on to overtime.
Brian Ching scored the winning goal in the 96th minute with a deflected ball.
Mike Chabala set up the action, but because he received the second yellow card of the series in the 44th minute, he will miss the final.
Houston reaches the Conference finals for the third time in four years.
Definitely a very good run for newcomer Sounders, who made it this far in their inaugural season.

LA Galaxy 1 – 0 Chivas USA
The Galaxy won the series on a 3-2 aggregate goals.
Chivas had plenty of opportunities but couldn’t finish them.
Second half belonged to LA Galaxy and they put themselves on the score board in the 73rd minute.
The winning goal came from a penalty kick executed by Landon Donovan.
The referee awarded the penalty after Yamith Cuesta’s foul on Mike Magee.
Galaxy advances to the Western Conference Semifinal Series is a first since they won the Cup four years ago.The only dark spot on their win was David Beckham’s injury in the 78th minute of the match.
