Barcelona Losing Their Point Advantage

Real Madrid is now only two points behind leader Barcelona after they beat dead last Xerez 3 – 0. Cristiano Ronaldo who was back from a two-game suspension,scored two of those goals, with Alvaro Arbeloa adding the third one. Kaka assisted on both Ronaldo’s goals.

In a match were the referee showed three red cards Villarreal scored 2 – 1 at home in a win against Bilbao.

Barcelona’s first loss of the season came in the match against Atletico Madrid. The 2 – 1 loss is partially due to Barcelona extensive injury list.

Racing Santander 0 – 3 Malaga, Sevilla FC 1 – 0 Ososuna, Gijon 1 – 1 Valencia, Getafe 2 – 2 Almeria, Espanyol 2 – 0 Deportivo La Coruna, Valladolid 1 – 1 Real Zaragoza.

The match between Tenerife and Mallorca is schedule for Monday.
